Large Industrial Desiccant Dehumidifier for Warehouses and Large-Scale Manufacturing (10–20 kg/h)

When the space is a warehouse, a large process hall, or a multi-zone plant rather than a single room, a mid-size unit runs flat out and still can't hold the target. This range is built for that scale: four three-phase rotor units from 10 to 20 kg/h of moisture removal, with process airflow from 1,580 to 3,000 m³/h.

They deliver enough dry air to hold a low, stable humidity across a large footprint — a distribution warehouse, a bulk or powder storage hall, a large electronics or pharmaceutical production area, a food processing or packaging plant, or a big energy-storage or substation building. Because they use a desiccant rotor, they hold a far lower RH than a compressor and keep holding it from -20°C to 50°C, so they suit cold stores and unheated warehouses as well as conditioned plants.

All four run on 380V three-phase, adsorb moisture on a fire-resistant rotor rated for -20°C to 50°C, control humidity from 5% to 95% RH automatically, and carry full industrial protection — phase-sequence, over-temperature, overload, and high/low-voltage. RS-485 Modbus and DI signal tie them into a facility BMS, and several units run in parallel for even coverage across a large or multi-zone space. For single process rooms, see the industrial desiccant dehumidifier range; for the highest airflow and lowest-temperature work, see the low-temperature desiccant dehumidifier range.

Built for warehouse and hall scale

These units target large spaces that must hold a low humidity across their whole volume, or several zones at once. Typical applications: distribution and logistics warehouses, bulk material and powder storage halls, large electronics and semiconductor production areas, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturing halls, food processing and packaging plants, large coating, printing and lamination lines, grain and seed conditioning, and energy-storage, battery, and substation buildings. In a big space, the challenge is not just capacity but coverage — getting dry air to every corner so no zone drifts wet. High process airflow and multiple units in parallel are what deliver that.

Choosing across the range

Airflow and capacity step up in line with the space; all four are 380V three-phase:

  • XR-1500XF-01 — 10 kg/h, 1,580 m³/h, 15 kW, 210 kg. The entry large unit, for a single big hall or a smaller warehouse.
  • XR-2000XF-01 — 13 kg/h, 2,100 m³/h, 18 kW, 210 kg. More airflow for a larger footprint or a higher moisture load.
  • XR-2500XF-01 — 15 kg/h, 2,500 m³/h, 20 kW, 280 kg. Larger process ports (Φ400mm×2) for high-volume dry-air delivery across a wide space.
  • XR-3000XF-01 — 20 kg/h, 3,000 m³/h, 23 kW, 300 kg. The top of this tier, for the largest single-unit warehouse and hall jobs before the high-airflow range takes over.

For spaces larger than one unit can cover, or for multi-zone plants, run several in parallel — sized to the building's air changes and laid out so dry air reaches the whole floor evenly.

Why the rotor holds a large space

Process air passes through the 270° process sector of a slowly rotating desiccant wheel (8–12 revolutions per hour); the desiccant adsorbs the moisture and dry air leaves through the process fan. A separate regeneration airstream heated to 100–140°C drives the captured moisture off the wheel and carries it outside, and the wheel rotates back into the process air restored. With no cold coil in the loop, the unit holds a low RH target far below what a compressor reaches, and holds it from -20°C to 50°C — so the same machine serves a conditioned production hall and an unheated cold store. The rotor uses a silica-gel and molecular-sieve composite chosen for strong adsorption and clean regeneration.

Build and control

  • Rotor — fire-resistant desiccant wheel, rated -20°C to 50°C, gear-motor driven at 8–12 RPH with rotation-stop protection.
  • Regeneration — SCR-controlled heating in an insulated chamber; heater starts with the regeneration fan and cuts out automatically if the rotor stops; sealed independent process and regeneration ducts prevent the two airstreams from mixing.
  • Control — 5–95% RH, fully automatic with manual/automatic switching, real-time RH on the LED display, fault self-detection with a fault code, and running/standby/fault indicators.
  • Industrial protection — IP44 enclosure, electrical protection to IP54, plus phase-sequence, over-temperature, overload, and high/low-voltage protection for a three-phase supply.
  • Integration — DI signal and RS-485 Modbus for remote monitoring and control, reporting RH, mode, and fault status to a facility BMS; multiple units coordinate across zones.
  • Build — stainless-steel or powder-coated housing, continuous operation over 720 hours with stable low-temperature performance, 10-year-plus designed service life, components from established brands (Siemens, ABB, Omron, Schneider, Delixi and similar).

Global voltage and OEM/ODM

All models are three-phase 380V, available for 50Hz or 60Hz and for the destination market's three-phase voltage. We support OEM branding and ODM changes: cabinet color and layout, control interface and BMS protocol, duct and drainage configuration, filter grade (G4 standard, higher grades on request), rotor and heating selection for the target dew point, and labeling — built to CE, ETL, and RoHS with ISO 9001. Send us the building size and layout, the moisture load and target RH, the lowest operating temperature, and the supply available, and our application team will recommend a model, a multi-unit layout, or an engineered system.

FAQs

When do I need a large unit instead of a mid-size industrial one?

Size decides it. When one mid-size unit runs continuously and still can't hold the target, the space needs more airflow and capacity than that tier provides. This range (10–20 kg/h, 1,580–3,000 m³/h) is built for warehouse and hall scale — enough dry air to hold a low RH across a large footprint. A rough test: if the floor area or air volume is well beyond a single process room, or if you're covering several zones, start here. Send us the building size and load and we'll confirm the tier.

How do I hold humidity evenly across a big warehouse or hall?

Two things: airflow and layout. A large unit moves enough dry air to reach across a wide space, but in a big or irregular building, even coverage comes from placing units so dry air reaches every zone and no still corner stays wet. For spaces bigger than one unit can cover, or multi-zone plants, run several in parallel, sized to the building's air changes and positioned for even distribution. We lay out the unit count and placement as part of sizing.

Can these units keep a cold store or unheated warehouse dry?

Yes — that's a core strength of the rotor. Adsorption doesn't depend on a cold coil, so these units hold their RH target from -20°C to 50°C. A compressor loses efficiency as a warehouse cools and frosts up near freezing; the rotor keeps holding the set point steadily. The same model that dries a conditioned production hall will dry an unheated warehouse or a cold store, which is why the rotor suits large low-temperature spaces.

How do I choose between the four models?

Airflow and capacity step up with the space, all on 380V three-phase. XR-1500XF-01 (10 kg/h, 1,580 m³/h) suits a single big hall or smaller warehouse; XR-2000XF-01 (13 kg/h, 2,100 m³/h) a larger footprint or higher load; XR-2500XF-01 (15 kg/h, 2,500 m³/h) adds larger ports for high-volume delivery across a wide space; and XR-3000XF-01 (20 kg/h, 3,000 m³/h) is the largest single unit in the tier. Beyond one unit's coverage, we specify a multi-unit layout. Send us the building details for a match.

Can several units run together across multiple zones?

Yes. Multiple units run in parallel, coordinated across zones, with each reporting RH, mode, and fault status to a facility BMS over RS-485 Modbus. This is the standard approach for a warehouse too large for one machine or a plant with several areas at different set points — units sized and placed for even coverage, controlled together. We design the layout and the control approach as part of the project.

What industrial protection do the three-phase units carry?

These 380V three-phase units carry full industrial protection: phase-sequence protection so the rotor and fans can't run reversed, high/low-voltage protection, overload protection, and over-temperature protection on the heating circuit, plus electrical protection to IP54. The regeneration heater cuts out automatically if the rotor stops, the rotor has rotation-stop protection, and the unit self-detects faults and shows a fault code with running/standby/fault indicators.

What voltages are available, and do you support OEM/ODM?

All models are three-phase 380V, buildable for 50Hz or 60Hz and for the destination market's three-phase voltage. We support OEM branding and ODM changes including cabinet color and layout, control interface and BMS protocol, duct and drainage configuration, filter grade, and rotor and heating selection for the target dew point — all to CE, ETL, and RoHS with ISO 9001.
