• GDH and GDH-CE Dehumidifiers (38–1,440 L/day) plus ROD Rotary Desiccant — standalone moisture removal
• UH-DS Ultrasonic Humidifiers (2–30 kg/h) — standalone humidification
• Constant Temperature and Humidity Units — when temperature must also be held, not just humidity
| Scenario | Typical Size | Humidity Need | Recommended Configuration |
| Single room / grow tent / office | Up to 30 m² | Moderate swing | Compact DS-HS combo (220V) |
| Grow room / archive / light commercial | 30–80 m² | Large seasonal swing | Standard DS-HS combo (220V) |
| Large room / commercial floor | 80 m²+ | High load | Large-capacity combo, or multiple units (220V/380V) |
| Whole-space / multi-room | Multi-zone | Even distribution | Ducted combo configuration |
| Need temperature held too, not just humidity | Any | Temp + RH | See our constant temperature and humidity unit |
Three adjustments to the baseline:
• Very dry winters (below 25% RH) or very humid summers (above 70% RH): size the weaker direction up so the unit holds the setpoint at the seasonal extreme.
• High air exchange, frequent door openings, or open layout: add capacity or distribute multiple units.
• Enclosed cultivation or storage running continuously: step up for 24/7 duty and confirm the air-purification stage suits the environment.
A combo needs both a drain for the dehumidification side and a water supply for the humidification side — plan both at installation. Set the target RH on the humidistat; the unit holds it automatically, humidifying below the band and dehumidifying above. Position the unit so air circulates through the whole space and the humidity sensor reads representative conditions, not the discharge. Clean or replace the air-purification filter on the recommended schedule.
A combo is the right choice when one space needs both humidification and dehumidification across seasons and you want one unit, one control, and one footprint. It is not the right choice when you need precise temperature control as well (use a constant temperature and humidity unit), or when a space only ever needs one direction (use a standalone humidifier or dehumidifier, which costs less for that single job).
What we adjust at the project level:
• Capacity: humidification and dehumidification sized independently to your space and seasonal swing
• Voltage: 220V/50Hz and 380V standard; 110V/60Hz and 240V/50Hz on ODM specification
• Air purification stage: filtration level matched to the environment
• Configuration: standalone room unit or ducted whole-space; cabinet, color, and badging on your brand
• Control interface: humidistat with auto/humidify/dehumidify modes; data logging and BMS integration on request
Process follows our catalog 6-step flow: requirement analysis, model selection, specification confirmation, production and assembly, testing and final inspection, packaging and shipping.

It is a single unit that both humidifies and dehumidifies, holding a target relative humidity in both directions. When the room drops below the setpoint it adds moisture; when it rises above, it removes moisture. One humidistat and one cabinet replace a separate humidifier and dehumidifier, so you manage indoor humidity year-round with one machine instead of two.
Yes. A true combo (like the SHISHUO DS-HS) contains both a humidification stage and a dehumidification stage under one control, and switches between them automatically to hold the setpoint. This is different from a single appliance with only a humidistat, which can shut off but cannot reverse direction. Set your target RH and the combo handles both the dry and the humid season.
A combo wins when one space needs both directions across the year — you get one unit, one control, and one footprint instead of buying, storing, and swapping two machines. Two separate machines can make sense only if a space needs just one direction, or if you need very large capacity in each direction independently. For most spaces with a real seasonal swing, the combo is simpler and uses less space.
A combo controls humidity only — it adds and removes moisture but does not control temperature. A constant temperature and humidity unit controls both temperature and humidity (it also cools and heats) to a tight tolerance. Choose a combo when temperature is already handled and you just need bidirectional humidity control; choose a constant temperature and humidity unit when both must be held to spec — see that page for the precision option.
Yes, with the right configuration. For a single open room, one appropriately sized unit works. For a whole house or multi-room coverage, a ducted combo configuration distributes humidity control across the space, or several units are zoned. Size both the humidify and dehumidify capacity to the floor area and the seasonal extremes; contact us with your space details for a recommendation.
The SHISHUO DS-HS integrates air purification alongside humidification and dehumidification, making it a 3-in-1 unit. The purification stage cleans the air while the unit holds the humidity setpoint — useful in cultivation rooms, storage, offices, and occupied light-commercial spaces. Clean or replace the filter on the recommended schedule to keep it effective.
Yes — cultivation is one of the best combo applications. Grow rooms and grow tents need humidification during vegetative growth and dehumidification during flowering and lights-off, so a combo holds the stage-appropriate RH across the whole cycle from one unit, and the integrated air purification suits the enclosed environment. Size to the tent or room volume and the target RH for each stage.
Yes. SHISHUO is a manufacturer, not a trading company — we support OEM (your branding) and ODM (humidify/dehumidify capacity, air-purification level, cabinet, control interface, ducted configuration, packaging). Standard units are 220V/50Hz and 380V; 110V/60Hz and 240V/50Hz on ODM. We are an export manufacturer and ship internationally — contact us with your space conditions and destination market for a recommendation, certificates where applicable, and a quotation.
